Perbadanan Memajukan Iktisad Negeri Terengganu (PMINT) was established on 1 April, 1965 under Enakmen Kerajaan Negeri Terengganu (Bil.3/1965). The main objective of the establishment is to be the lead agency for the state to implement and accelerate the development and socio-economic development in the State Terengganu.
With the launch of Dasar Ekonomi Baru (DEB) in 1971, PMINT also support the goals of DEB to eradicate poverty and restructure society. Similarly, when Dasar Pembangunan Nasional 1991 - 2000 (DPN) , which began in 1991, PMINT also actively involved in the success of the policy.
PMINT has engaged in activities that cover a very broad spectrum covering almost all sectors of the economy. These include property development, farming, agrobiotek, aquaculture, manufacturing and services. Overall, PMINT activities carried out through two ways, directly and through subsidiaries.
